159. Personalized and Modern Leadership Skills | 個性化及現代化的領導力

There are a lot of leadership training courses and reading materials available for companies and workers to select from. But some of these need to be modernized and personalized to have a real impact on the success of businesses and individuals.

First of all, many of the skills were developed and applied when on-site work and face-to-face communication were the norm. These skill sets have not taken into account the influence of remote work, social media communications, and the changing aspirations of new generations of workers.

As such, general skills need to be re-evaluated and re-prioritized so they are more relevant for businesses and workers in the new era of internet, technologies, demographics, environments, and economic reality. For example, with the advent of AI and computers, are traditional writing and language skills still critical? What about the new leadership skills of using social media to build one’s image and attract a large number of followers? 

In addition to modernizing the skills to reflect the new possibilities and needs, it is also critical to select and develop skills based on one’s own aspirations in life. A detailed SWOT analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of your current skills, as well as the future career opportunities and threats, will reveal the skills required for your personalized growth.

Slide 1 gives some examples of typical leadership skills, from which one can add or subtract to generate a personal list. This list can be further prioritized by using the framework in Slide 2 and taking into account an individual’s aspirations and career goals for the future.

An example of personalized skill development might look like this:

  • -Using social media to enhance communication and networking
  • -Applying empathy and listening skills in sales
  • -Working with people of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds
  • -Building strong and coherent teams
  • -Learning AI to improve program execution

              市面上有許多領導力培訓課程和閱讀材料供公司和員工選擇,但其中有一些需要現代化和個性化,才能對企業和個人的成功產生真正的影響。

首先,許多技能是在 “面對面工作” 和 “交流普遍存在” 的時代開發和應用的,這些技能沒有考慮到 “遠程工作”、”社交媒體交流”  以及 “新一代員工” 不斷變化的願望。

          因此,這些普遍的技能需要重新評估和優先考慮,使它們更加符合互聯網、技術、人口、環境, 和經濟現實 的新時代, 對企業和員工的需求。例如,隨著人工智慧和電腦的興起,傳統的寫作和語言技能是否仍然重要?使用社交媒體建立個人形象和吸引大量追隨者的新領導技能又如何?

          除了現代化技能以反映新的可能性和需求外,根據 “個人的生活願望”選擇和發展技能也至關重要。對當前技能的優勢和劣勢進行詳細的 SWOT 分析,以及了解未來職場的機會和威脅,將揭示個性化成長所需要的技能。

          附帶的圖表1列出了一些典型的領導技能範例,從中可以去增修來做為個人清單列表。這個列表可以透過使用圖表2中的框架,並考量 “個人願望” 和“未來職涯目標”,來進一步優化排序。

這樣的個性化技能發展舉例如下:

  • 使用社交媒體加強交流和網絡
  • 在銷售中應用同理心和聆聽技能
  • 與不同種族和文化背景的人一起工作
  • 建立強大而協作的團隊
  • 學習人工智慧以改善程序執行
